“Look at the roots. Silvery means thirsty; green means it is fine.”

  1. 01

    Light

Bright shade, near a window. Direct sun burns the leaves.
  2. 02

    Water

About once a week, when the bark or moss is dry and the roots look silvery. Let all the water drain away.
  3. 03

    Soil & pot

Orchid bark or sphagnum moss. Never ordinary soil.
  4. 04

    Feeding

A weak orchid feed every 2 weeks.

    What you'll need

    • Orchid pot
    • Pine bark
    • Sphagnum moss
    • Orchid clips

All available here at the nursery.

Something wrong?

  • Flowers dropping

Normal after 1 to 3 months. Cut the stem above a bump (node) and it may flower again.

  • Mushy brown roots

Too much water. Trim the bad roots and repot in fresh bark.

  • Wrinkled, floppy leaves

Thirsty, or the roots have rotted. Check the roots.
