“In the wild it grows on trees. Give it an airy, chunky mix, never heavy soil.”

  1. 01

    Light

Bright shade. Direct sun burns the leaves; too dark and it stops flowering.
  2. 02

    Water

When the top 2 to 3 cm is dry. Let all the water drain away.
  3. 03

    Soil & pot

Chunky mix: coco chips, bark and some potting soil.
  4. 04

    Feeding

A weak flowering feed once a month.

    What you'll need

    • Coco chips
    • Pine bark
    • Flowering fertiliser

All available here at the nursery.

Something wrong?

  • No new flowers

Needs more light. Move it closer to a bright window.

  • Yellow leaves

Too much water or a heavy, soggy mix. Repot into a chunkier mix.

  • Brown leaf tips

Dry air or too much fertiliser. Feed less and keep it away from the air-conditioning.
